Pre-Paid Funerals and Financing Options
Financing options for funerals is an important aspect of a funeral. There are a number of costs involved, and we have your best interests at heart, and will listen to your requirements and provide you with the best options possible.
In relation to any finance option that we suggest, we as a funeral home do not benefit from any one option above another – so our only agenda is for you to have the ability to choose what is best for you.
The brief outlines below are purely from the perspective of the benefits to families and loved ones. We have put them in a logical order for you to see
In our opinion, this is by far the preferred option.
This provides you with an opportunity to plan how you would like to be represented and honoured. Some choose to leave with no fuss or fanfare, while others would like to have a celebration service of their life.
We will document the details of what you would like to see happen, and most of these will be flexible right up to the time of your passing. To change any detail is simply a matter of informing us.
It also means that you have not left the financial burden to anyone else. When you pay, you pay at today’s value and pricing, and so even in 30 years time, when you finally leave us, no more payment is required, regardless of inflationary price increases.
We do not hold the money. The money you pay is deposited in to a financial institution which is authorised by the Australian government to hold funeral bonds. This means that your money is secure, no matter what may happen. Also, if you move out of the region, and we are unable to fulfil the assigned contract, your funeral can then be re-assigned to the funeral home of your choice in the new region.
While this is our least preferred option, it may still be appropriate for some families.
Just remember, when taking out funeral insurance, you will be required to continue paying premiums for the rest of your life.
They do not stop when they reach the insured amount. Thus the reason for our least favourite option.
